Meet the Cast – Meg

1. What was your first Rocky Horror experience?
Aside from renting the DVD from family video, my first shadow cast experience was at the State Theater in Kalamazoo, organized by WMU’s theater department.

2. What made you get involved in MiRPHS?
I was living alone in Grand Rapids, post-pandemic, as a recent grad wanting to branch out to different hobbies. I found a job in my field on the east side, joined cast, and here I am!

3. Favorite Costume piece(s)?
I love Columbia’s pirate pajamas, and Frank’s Sweet T getup will always be a fav.

4. Besides Rocky, what are some other hobbies you take part in?
I really enjoy reading, painting, embroidery, thrifting, hiking, kayaking, and dancing.

5. What is/are your top favorite character(s) to play?
I really enjoy being a creepy little Riff. I channel my angst and inner rat-man and let ‘er rip.

6. What does your ideal Sunday look like?
75 degrees. Partly cloudy. I’m on a walk with my family, trying to keep up with the kiddo. We get back home, snag a treat from the ice cream truck, and read together outside, blow bubbles, ride our bikes, maybe do some yard work, and finish the day with a bonfire or a movie.

7. How do you relax?
Reading and snuggling up until I inevitably take a nap.

8. What kind of movies do you like?
I don’t love watching movies because I have a hard time keeping my attention in one place that long, but I enjoy documentaries, surrealism, horror, and animation.

9. Top Favorite MiRHPS Theme Show(s)?
I prefer a traditional Rocky show, but the Easter show is beautiful.

10. One thing you couldn’t live without?
My support system of family and friends.

11. What’s your favorite Rocky Call Back?
“Caskets, caskets, I love caskets!”

12. Tell us 1 un-interesting fact about yourself.
My favorite smell is burning leaves.
